Internal Medicine

KIH's medicine service provides diagnostic assessment and treatment across a broad range of medical conditions, including gastroenterology and endocrine care. Physicians support both outpatient consultations and patients admitted to the hospital, including those who are critically ill.

Endoscopic facilities

The department's endoscopy suite supports examination of the stomach, duodenum and bowel, alongside therapeutic procedures.

Available procedures

• Upper digestive-tract endoscopy and complete or limited colon examination
• Treatment of varices using banding
• Dilatation for achalasia and oesophageal narrowing
• Therapeutic ERCP and bile-duct stent placement
• Endoscopic placement of a feeding tube (PEG)
