Kulsum International Hospital

Radiology & Imaging

MRI, CT, ultrasound and X-ray imaging, available round the clock.

About Radiology & Imaging

KIH's Digital Diagnostic Imaging Center provides the scans and X-rays your doctor recommends, for both outpatient (OPD) and inpatient (IPD) care, 24 hours a day. Having these investigations under one roof saves patients a trip elsewhere and gives consultants dependable results to guide treatment.

Imaging services

  • Open MRI: detailed images of the brain, spine, joints and soft tissues, in a scanner that feels less enclosed
  • CT scan (computerised tomography): cross-sectional images of the head, chest, abdomen and other parts of the body
  • Ultrasound: real-time images of organs such as the liver, gallbladder, kidneys and pelvis
  • Colour Doppler: an ultrasound study of blood flow through the arteries and veins
  • X-rays: quick images of the chest, bones and joints

Before your scan

  • Bring your doctor's referral and any previous reports or films.
  • Ask our team about preparation, as some ultrasound and CT scans need you to fast beforehand.
  • Tell the staff if you are or might be pregnant, or if you have a pacemaker, metal implant or other medical device.
