Overview

Symptoms
- A painless lump or swelling in a testicle
- A heavy feeling in the scrotum
- A dull ache in the lower abdomen or groin
- Breast tenderness in some cases
Causes and risk factors
Risk factors include an undescended testicle, family history and previous testicular cancer.
Diagnosis
Diagnosis uses examination, scrotal ultrasound and blood tests for tumour markers.
Treatment
Treatment includes surgery to remove the testicle, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
