Dr. Salman khan embraced martyrdom on the 12th of september 2012
Dr. Salman Shaheed achieved his life’s much coveted desire for Shahadat. The impact and ripple effect of event was felt far and wide, touching the hearts and souls of all those whom he had touched as a friend, a relative, colleague and a doctor. We became one short of a gifted doctor, a pious and humane human being. Allah had endowed him with an exceptional outer knowledge of a scholar and inner wisdom of a saint. He dealt with colleagues without ever imposing himself. Humility and kindness were his signature qualities. He had spent years looking after the poor and ailing in the public hospitals of Karachi and Islamabad and sported a mellow and compassionate corner in his heart for them. A ‘momin’, a ‘sabir’, a’sadiq’, a ‘zakir’,a ‘motassadeq’, a ‘saim’, a’qaanay’,’ a ‘hafiz a farooghi’ a true example of a practicing muslim. He will always be remembered for the imprints he has left, so imperceptibly in our minds and hearts. A great son of janati parents! May his soul rest in peace, Ameen.” Maj. Gen. ( R) Waqar Ahmed H I (M) “Great loss for his family, friends and patients at Kulsum International Hospital. I know he is in a better place, but we will always remember him as a great human being and a very bright doctor who was extremely humane with excellent mannerism and was loved by all his peers and patients. May Allah Almighty bless his soul and keep him in Jannat-ul-Firdous.” Prof. Dr. Iqbal Saifullah Khan “Death of Dr.Salman is a great loss to the society in general and medical community in particular. He was a great friend and a devoted physician , who will always be remembered. May Allah grant his soul peace in Jannah. Syed Muntazir Mehdi Zaidi Innah lillahe wainna ailyaa rajayoon
