Overview
Adolescence brings rapid physical and emotional changes. Adolescent health care offers a confidential, respectful space for young people to discuss their health, growth, mood and lifestyle.
Who it may help
- Young people with concerns about growth, puberty or periods
- Young people with acne, weight or eating concerns
- Young people with stress, low mood or anxiety
- Young people with long-term conditions such as diabetes or asthma
What the service includes
Health checks, growth and puberty assessment, vaccinations, nutrition advice, mental health support, and advice on sleep, screens, substance use and healthy relationships.
What to expect
Young people are seen with their parents and, when appropriate, on their own for part of the visit. Information is kept confidential except where safety is at risk.
