Overview

Asthma and COPD narrow the airways and cause breathlessness, cough and wheeze. With the right inhalers and support, most people can control symptoms and reduce flare-ups.

Who it may help

  • People with asthma that is not well controlled
  • People with COPD or chronic bronchitis
  • People with frequent chest infections or flare-ups
  • Smokers with breathlessness or cough

What the service includes

Spirometry and lung function tests, inhaler choice and technique training, action plans, vaccinations, stop-smoking support and pulmonary rehabilitation.

What to expect

Bring your inhalers to each visit. Your treatment is reviewed and adjusted to keep symptoms controlled.
