Overview

Behavioural health covers mental health, stress, sleep, habits and the emotional side of living with illness. It recognises that mind and body affect each other.

Who it may help

  • People with stress, anxiety or low mood
  • People with sleep problems
  • People struggling to manage long-term conditions
  • People wanting to change habits such as smoking or overeating

What the service includes

Assessment, counselling and talking therapies, medicines when needed, stress management and support for families. Care may be coordinated with other doctors treating you.

What to expect

You will discuss your concerns and goals and agree a plan. Follow-up visits track progress.
