Overview

Behavioural therapy uses clear goals, positive reinforcement and consistent routines to help children improve behaviour, communication and daily skills. Parents play a central role.

Who it may help

  • Children with ADHD
  • Children with autism spectrum conditions
  • Children with tics or Tourette syndrome
  • Children with tantrums, aggression or sleep problems

What the service includes

Assessment of behaviour, goal setting, parent training, behaviour plans for home and school, and social skills support.

What to expect

Sessions may be weekly. Progress is measured against agreed goals, and strategies are adjusted over time.
