Overview
Bone and soft tissue tumours range from harmless lumps to sarcomas. Getting the diagnosis right before surgery is important, so these tumours are best managed by a team experienced in planning biopsies and treatment.
Who it may help
- People with a lump that is growing, deep or painful
- People with bone pain, especially at night
- People with a fracture through a weakened bone
- People with an abnormal bone found on an X-ray
What the service includes
Imaging such as X-ray, MRI and CT, a carefully planned biopsy, surgery to remove the tumour, reconstruction, and coordination with chemotherapy and radiotherapy for cancers.
What to expect
After tests, the team explains the diagnosis and treatment plan. Rehabilitation and long-term follow-up are part of care.
