Overview
Children and young people can experience mental health problems just as adults do. Early help can make a big difference to their wellbeing, learning and relationships.

- Young people with anxiety, low mood or self-harm
- Young people with eating disorders
- Children with tics, autism-related difficulties or developmental concerns
What the service includes
Detailed assessment with the child and family, diagnosis, talking therapies, parenting support, medicines when appropriate and liaison with schools.
What to expect
The first appointment usually includes parents or carers. Young people may also be seen alone for part of the visit. A plan is agreed together and reviewed regularly.
