Overview

Child clinical psychologists assess how children think, learn, feel and behave. Their assessments help explain difficulties and guide support at home and school.

Who it may help

  • Children with learning difficulties such as dyslexia
  • Children with attention or behaviour problems
  • Children with developmental delays or intellectual disability
  • Children coping with anxiety, trauma or family changes

What the service includes

Developmental and cognitive assessments, behavioural assessments, psychological therapy, parent guidance and reports to support schooling.

What to expect

Assessment may take one or more sessions, using play, questionnaires and tests. Results are explained to parents with practical recommendations.
