Overview
Otology covers the outer, middle and inner ear. Many ear problems can be treated with medicines or minor procedures, while others need microscopic ear surgery.

Treatment options
Options include ear cleaning under a microscope, medicines, grommets, eardrum repair (myringoplasty), mastoid surgery, stapes surgery and hearing aid advice.
