Overview

Urinary problems are common in women, especially after childbirth and menopause. Many women do not seek help because of embarrassment, but most problems can be improved.

Who it may help

  • Women with urine leakage or an overactive bladder
  • Women with repeated urinary infections
  • Women with bladder pain or interstitial cystitis
  • Women with prolapse or difficulty emptying the bladder

What the service includes

Urine tests, bladder diaries, ultrasound, bladder pressure tests and cystoscopy, with treatments ranging from pelvic floor exercises and medicines to minimally invasive procedures and surgery.

Your history and examination guide tests. You will agree a treatment plan that fits your symptoms and lifestyle.
