Overview
Children who are seriously ill need close monitoring and support for breathing, circulation and organ function. Paediatric intensive care provides round-the-clock care by specially trained doctors and nurses.

What the service includes
Ventilation, monitoring, intravenous treatments, medicines to support the heart and circulation, and close coordination with specialists.
What to expect
Parents are kept informed and supported. Children move to a ward when they are well enough.
