Overview

Palliative care can begin at diagnosis of a life-limiting illness and continue alongside other treatments. It focuses on comfort, emotional support and helping families make decisions.

  • Children with severe neurological or genetic conditions
  • Children with life-limiting heart, lung or kidney disease
  • Families needing support during difficult times

What the service includes

Pain and symptom control, emotional and spiritual support, help with decision-making, care at home or in hospital, and bereavement support.

The team works with your child's doctors and respects your family's values and wishes.
