Overview
Physiotherapy helps people recover from injury, surgery or illness and manage long-term conditions. A physiotherapist assesses how you move and function, then designs a programme to reduce pain and improve strength, flexibility and independence.

What to expect
Your first session includes an assessment and a discussion of your goals. Most people need several sessions, and exercises to do at home are an important part of recovery.
