Overview
Urgent care is for problems that cannot wait for a routine appointment, such as fevers, infections, sprains and small cuts. Life-threatening emergencies should go directly to the emergency department.
Who it may help
- People with fever, cough, sore throat or earache
- People with vomiting, diarrhoea or urinary symptoms
- People with minor cuts, burns, sprains or rashes
What the service includes
Assessment by a doctor, basic tests, treatment, wound care and referral to specialists or admission when needed.
What to expect
Patients are seen in order of how unwell they are. You will receive a treatment plan and advice on when to return.
